Background

Linköping, Sweden’s fifth largest city, was awarded as the European Rising Innovative City in the 2023 iCapital Award, a testament to its collaborative spirit involving the public sector, business, academia and civil society. This recognition, awarded by the European Commission, recognises Linköping’s innovative solutions to societal and environmental challenges and makes it a beacon of innovation in Europe. Inspired by this recognition, Linköping is hosting the Future Now Forum and inviting European cities to share their innovation journey as a strategy to address today’s challenges to growth, sustainability, and cooperation.
